INTRODUCTION
This assessment scope will help prepare the student prepare for their final annual assessment during the lessons and for home rehearsals.
The Assessment will be divided into 3 SECTIONS: Theory, Technical and Practical Performance
MARKING SCOPE
Please study the mark allocations for your assessment. Your goal will be to achieve a 75% overall pass rate that will reveal your progress throughout this year.

The assessment will count a TOTAL OF 200 marks:
· Section 1: Theory – 20 marks – the student must know all of the information listed as I have marked for you to study from the list.
· Section 2: Technical – 50 marks - the student must know all of the information listed as I have marked for you to study from the list.
· Section 3: Practical – 120 marks - I will mark 4 song choices from your most recent stage of playing. See list description
· Lesson attendance – 10 marks
OUTCOMES
If you have started later in this year, the assessment will reveal whether you will finish the book after the assessment or whether you will go on to a different course if you have finished your book.
You will receive a printed copy of your results which will determine the plan for your next course. The assessment will grant the student an equivalent of a non-accredited international exam grade but will be a supplement to advance to a Grade 1 or 2 International Graded course.
PREPARING FOR THE EXAM AT HOME:
Please plan your rehearsals each day: theory, technical and practical disciplines. Minimal daily times: Kids 7 - 10: from 15min.; Tweens & Teens 10-15: from 20 min.; Teens & Adults from 30 min.
I will indicate on this sheet what work you must prepare for your assessment according to what page number you have reached before your assessment date.
Each student will be supplied a more detailed scope in terms of marking scope for each section 6 to 4 weeks before the assessment date.
